This little light machine is a winner. I almost never write a review about anything but after trying Bissell-worked well but cord was too short-I gave it to my daughter, she loves it. And then trying and having GREAT hopes for the Oreck, because all of my vacuums from Oreck, I have 3,are great, I was massively disappointed. Removing and replacing the different tools left me weak and sweaty, okay, I'm old but still....one has to EMPTY the water after every use. And way too heavy. Sent it back. Anyway, this Eureka is absolutely perfect in every way and even lighter than the Bissell. The cord length is also perfect. In other words, I am happy as the proverbial lark. NO ONE will be disappointed with this one. : )

First off I am a stay at home mom of 2 small nasty children lol, a puppy in the process of housetraining and an adult dog who tracks tons of red clay in!!! and this mop has made my life easier!!
Well after reading tons of reviews on all the floor steamers I chose this one and I'm not disapointed it was easy to put together and easy to use I have aprox. 1100 sq feet of hardwood and laminate flooring and I refill this thing 3 times to do my whole floor which isnt bad in my opinion. I don't wait for it cool down, the light comes on to let me know I'm outta steam,I hit the power button with my toe, refill it and turn it back on. In about four minutes I'm ready to go again (just enough time to pick up the small stuff so I can mop under it) I think the best things are the continuous steam if you have a super sticky spot just leave the mop sitting on it for a few seconds and bam! its gone and the pads it comes with dear Lord they trap everything!! theres no smearing dirt it really does keep it in the pad. the only con is it does not get into corners that great but its a small sacrifice to changing a bucket of mop water 4 to 5 times and wasting so much cleaning product!

I literally just brought this item home today and tried it out for the first time. I too, was amazed by all the rave reviews. I have tile floors that are not smooth. I have an area rug that covers a portion of the tile. The tile under the rug is clearly a lot more cleaner than the rest of the tile that has been uncovered and walked on. I thought that this steamer would make the rest of my tiles thoroughly clean and match the portion under the rugs...that did not happen, in my opinion they stayed the same, clearly dirtier (ground in dirt in the crevases remained). It did clean, the only reason I know is that I looked on the towel when I was done and it was brown. I have to strongly agree that in all likelihood it does not heat up to the temperature it claims. I too felt the tile after leaving it covered for 15 seconds and it was barely warm. I even touched the bottom of the steamer quickly with my finger- it was hot, but I doubt sanitizingly hot (I did not burn my finger). Oh yeah, I spilled a glass of wine on my floor not too long ago. Even after using the steamer over that area and letting it sit, when I got close to the tile (to do my inspections) I could still smell the wine...which leads me to believe this thing is not all that cracked up to what it is supposed to be. Happy to not have that bucket, so I will continue to use it. I am also going to try using a dish towel on the steamer instead of what they give you as one reviewer noted that the steam was hotter, since the dish towel was thinner than what they supply. Not much steam comes out as previously reported which is also concerning (it is a "steam" cleaner right????)

I ordered my Eureka Steamer and it arrived within a few days so, shipping was fast. It was also shipped well with the Eureka box inside another box. I used the steamer and it di an o.k job. I was expecting better performance based on the reviews. It was easy to operate, but the head is too big and does not go under appliances and kitchen cabinets. You are going to have to clean those areas by hand. Another head that could fit tight spaces would be good. Eureka Enviro SteamerMy floors were a little wet, but dried within minutes, so that's not too bad. I had a hard time getting the waffle-like pad clean. It still had traces of dirt after having been washed in the washing machine. Maybe a darker color would be better as opposed to white. Unfortunately, I was not impressed enough to keep it and sent it back.
