I purchased the J-2000 to replace a poor quality Tobi steamer that ultimately stopped steaming and went into the trash.
After 7 months of frequent use, the J-2000 is still working great. The J-2000 is reliable, quickly generates steam, and overall a great product.

I bought this for my mom bday and I love this steamer. It has a constNt flow of steam and does a great job. I still use the iron sometimes when I need chrisper creases but this nice machine I use 90% of the time to remove wrinkles. I tried other steamers and they are not very effective. This one is well built and not made out of cheap plastic like others.

I bought the Conair upright and thought it was horrible. It was made with cheap plastic and leaked which in turn, burned my hand. I decided to spend a few more $$ and get the Jiffy Steamer J-2000. It wasn't quite as much money as the 4000 series, and the reviews, I thought, would meet my needs. They did. I'm very picky and this does a fine job. The hose is metal based and does not leak. It is so much easier than ironing. I'm very happy with my purchase.

This machine rocks!! I've had it about 2 months, and it's gotten tons of use already. I make costumes as a hobby, and needed a better quality steamer than the cheapie I had. This baby is it! It heats up literally in seconds, has a large water reservoir, and just performs like a workhorse. I have steamed costumes made out of machine-washed and very wrinkled prom dresses, wedding gowns, silk, wool... everything. Plus my own business and casual clothes. I have some delicate fabrics in my career wardrobe, and this steamer is safe on all of them. The steamer is more effective than an iron on most things, but doesn't replace the iron for some things, such as creases on slacks, linen, dinner napkins. It's also kind of hard to steam sleeves on blouses and shirts. The trick to steaming is definitely steaming from the underside of the garment. But watch out - it gets really hot under there! Also, you need to hold the handle "upward", versus holding it down toward the ground. If the steamer suddenly stops steaming, either you're holding the handle too low, or you're out of water. If you're careful, and once you get a little experience with it, you'll love it.

I would have to rate the Jiffy J-2000 steamer as excellent. It works great, heats up in less than 1 minute and lasts well over an hour before you need to refill. It is the perfect size for home use, and very well made. It is definitely much faster than ironing. I am glad I spent a little extra money to buy the Jiffy Brand compared to some of the cheaper models you see at the local stores. You get what you pay for!
