I've had good success with this for sealing the "soft" scuba weights that normally leach lead. The trick is to use the manual vacuum mode so most of the air is gone and the bag is still soft. If the vacuum is too strong the weight turns hard. Some of my sealed weights leaked after several dives and had to be redone. I highly recommend this for sealing your weights.

These bags sell themselves. The shipping was right on time and with Amazon Prime I payed no shipping fee.

This worked great with a food saver that I bought at a thrift store. I got a really good deal on a food saver. It was great to be able to buy this from Amazon rather than having to drive 30 miles round trip, to a store that sells this item.

The quality of these bags surprised me. I'm so used to the common supermarket variety, that I was plesantly surprised at the heft of these bags and how well they took a vacuum and held it.

You can make your own size bags to fit just about anything you want to seal. The material is pretty hefty too, so think about reusing the bags. If you used them to store meats, you can turn them inside out and put them in the top rack of your dishwasher to sanitize. Good value.
