Just received the vacuum yesterday. The vacuum was super easy to assemble, looks great with the shiny red finish! I vacuum regularly with a Meile cannister vacuum, as I have a mixture of surfaces - hardwood, area rugs, berber and frieze type carpets. I tested the Hoover on a 4x4 area on the Frieze carpet and the vacuum was full of cat hair and dirt!!!!! I was pretty grossed out at how much hair and dirt was in my carpet - but also amazed that this under $100 vacuum did such a great job! The cannister is easy to clean and dump out, the cord re-wind is great. I can't wait to finish vacuuming the rest of the house. I used the power tool on the stairs, and it was a bit noisey and awkward, but seemed to do a good job.

I'll admit that I was skeptical when buying a vacuum cleaner that costs less than 90 bucks shipped, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It only took about 5 minutes to get everything out of the box and put together, and it works perfectly. The automatic cord rewind is a great little feature that I'll surely miss if I ever use a vacuum without one, and emptying the dust cup is a snap. It has great suction, the headlight works well, and I really can't think of a single complaint. It's not as light as some vacuums out there, but it has a nice handle for carrying it, and unless you have to vacuum 1000 steps the weight really won't be an issue.
Simply put, if you need a quality vacuum and don't want to spend a few hundred bucks (or more), then this is the vacuum for you.

I really like my new vac. I like the cord rewind feature and how easy it is to empty. It seems to be a little heaavy when pushing
it & the handle is a little short for someone 5'10" or taller. I really like the handiness of the on board tools & the great suction.
All in all I like my vac & the way it picks up. I would recommend this vac to everyone.

I got this vaccuum for $70 at Costco, and it works pretty well. There are some annoying shortcomings, such as:
-The short hose (vacuum falls over when you stretch the hose--and you have to because it's so short!)
-Pretty short cord though the rewind is pretty cool
-On the left side of the vacuum there is a feature that's supposed to get right up to edges but doesn't, instead leaves 1-2" gap of unvacuumed carpet in the path
-Very dirty process to clean out the filter, dust flies everywhere. Lifetime filter is a good idea except that it has that dirty vacuum smell after only a year or so.
But overall, not too bad for the money. BUT, after less than 2 years, the on/off switch snapped. It's pretty flimsy plastic. Lucky for me it broke in the on position so I can still use it but can't turn it off without unplugging. If you still want to buy it, be VERY gentle with the switch, maybe use your hand instead of your foot awkward since it's near the floor). And don't plan on it lasting for years, I wish I had spent a little more money for more quality.

I like my vacuum. It does what it is supposed to do very well. I have never owned a quiet vacuum. So when I started this one I didn't think any about that. Maybe someone can tell me ARE ALL VACUUMS THIS NOISY? But it gets the job done and I love the cord rewind thingy.
