This hand vacuum is indeed extremely powerful but mine broke down just a little later than the warranty coverage. It started making a terrible noise and lost most of its power. Getting the receptacle off to empty its contents is very difficult. Push the release button and you still have to wrestle with it get the holding bin off. While it worked, it worked very well, producing lots of suction and lasting longer on a single charge than any other Dustbuster or similar item I've had.

I ordered this product based on its reviews. It's a disappointment. I wish I never ordered it.
It's loud and barely any suction power. It's awkward to hold and very heavy.
You get what you pay for. Don't order it, it's a waste of $$.

I received the DirtTamer with very high expectations due to the glowing reviews and the price being a little more than many of the others. The DT does a pretty good job while the battery lasts but that isn't a long time. From reading reviews of other battery hand vacs this seems to be about average. It will give me 10 to 20 mins (20 being the max if that) of vac time. The suction is good but can decrease pretty quickly as you vaccuum up dust bunnies, cat hair, etc. I will say that cleaning the DT is relatively easy. It takes me all of about 2 minutes to clean.
All in all I'm pretty happy with the DT but not blown away due to the price compared to others. It does the job I need it to do and cleaning isn't a pain so I can look past my other minor complaints. I guess I'll have to get a corded hand held if I want more out of a hand vac than this.

This is my second dirt tamer. The first lasted 10 years. It's a bit loud but since you only use it for short periods of time it's not a big deal for me. It's easy to clean and you don't need to buy replacement bags.
