I'm superhumanly chemically sensitive and smell a sickly sweet chemical coming out either when it is sitting on a table or in line with the fan.



This makes me wake up every morning with a sore throat and excessive post-nasal drip. I have run it at full speed in a well-ventilated area and then a poorly ventilated area to try to clear it out, but either it wasn't long enough or it will never smell better. Normally I leave it at the lowest speed setting (1).



If it weren't for the design of the entire unit, I would put the V-5 gas and odor filter on top of the HyperHEPA just to filter IT. But as that is not physically possible, I think I have no choice but to discontinue use.



This filter has been changed from blue to white, according to IQAir. I'm not sure if the redesign has anything to do with all this.

This is the gas and odor filter for the IQAir Healthpro PLUS. You can upgrade a HealthPro to a Plus (check IQAir's website for details). I just got the Plus to start with, and my wife and I are glad we spent the extra money upfront.

The filters seem pricey. THEY AREN'T. The filters last a stupefyingly long time. It filters some 200 gases including VOCs. I just used the filter to easily clear the air in minutes after spraying some Bissell carpet cleaner that has a ungodly strong "scent".

An IQAir Healthpro Plus saved my wife and I from suffering while several brush fires over the past few years have lapped at our neighborhood. Before having the IQAir, we both suffered gravely whenever brush fires were anywhere within 50 miles.

After two years of us raving about our IQAir, our next door neighbors (asthma sufferers) sought refuge in our home during the last fire which was a couple miles upwind and within sight of our house. One evening of easy breathing was enough to convince the cheapskates to pony up for an IQAir (and donate to charity their various Honeywell, Hunter and other big-box store joke filters scattered around their house).

The IQAir is great, and the machine tells you when to change the filters, so it keeps working and working. And the V-5 helps take chemical smells from varnish out of the house very quickly.

My pair of IQ Air HealthPro air purifiers have dramatically reduced my allergy symptoms. My home lacks central air or any other type of air conditioner (and the air filtration that goes with it).



In my case, this Pre-Max filter lasts about 6 months before the device determines -- via computer monitoring -- that it's time for a new one. This is the second time I've replaced the Pre-Max filter (in both units). When I place the old filter next to the new filter, the old filter is so darkened that it is almost black and the new filter is pure white. That right there shows me how much stuff the filter is removing from the air I breathe at home.

IQ AIR cleaner is costly, but it also is the best in the world, and requires changing filters less then I would have thought.



This is the best, and independent reviews as well as the facts prove it. Like none made anywheres, it pays for itself with hospital qulaity clean air.I have no idea if anyone else can match it, but as of the time I origonally purchased it, no one did or could for any price.

I have two IQ Air purifiers in home.This Prefilter is manufactured specifically for the machine. I've had the purifiers for 3 years now and am very pleased with the quality of the product. The purifiers should last for decades. When they finally reach the end of their life I would purchase another from the same company.
