I bought this thing to clean up the dog hair that my two lovely puppies leave behind. It works amazingly! It's not the smartest robot in the world, but it does a fine job of cleaning. We have all hardwood floors and I pick up any rugs that have fringe on them before setting it loose on the house. The extra large bin is ideal for the amount of hair that our house accumulates. Even though it is marketed for a shop it is perfect for in the house also. I'm now looking into getting the one that mops!

I am not an electrician. But would still like to buy electrical products. Therefore, there should be disclosure of that product not readily usable in Europe. I've doubled my purchase price in order to make my iRobot serviceable in Denmark.

Ever since the "dog of my life," Angel, died seven years ago, I've turned into a "cat person." But the iRobot "Dirt Dog" rocks! I don't know how I ever lived without it! My floors are "carpeted" with cat hair, therefore, I chose this over the vacuum model. It does a bang up job on vinyl and laminate, does not scratch the floors, but cannot be used on any carpet other than low pile "industrial" carpet. I'm not complaining. It has an ample dirt receptacle, and enough juice to cover a big room thoroughly.
"Astro," named after the Jetson's dog, will have a "home for life" in my house. (I also have a floorwashing Scooba named "Rosie." I plan to add an vacuum model too.)

I got this because I have 5 dogs so I have a lot of hair and whatever they bring in on their coats. I waited over a month before giving a review. My home is all tile except for the bedrooms most mornings I turn it on while I get ready. It is noisy but I just close my bedroom door and let the robot go to work. It took almost a week for it to get all the hidden hairballs but after that it does a great job picking up large chunks of dog food, pieces of weeds and fine dust and just keeping my floor clean of "stuff" so I can have a guest stop by at any time and not be embarrassed. The dogs got use to it in a matter of days but you can't watch tv w/ it running or you will have to blast the tv sound. It is easy to clean the 2 brushes and once a week I blast the whole robot w/ some canned air to get rid of all the dust. It last about 45 mins before needing a recharge but if you run it a few times a week 45 mins should take care of most of the "stuff" on the floor. Do not let it on non-berber carpet or it will stop but it goes over my carpeted door mats no problem. Remember this is a sweeper not a vacum but I do plan on getting the irobot vacum for pets for my carpeted areas.
