Actually ordered it thinking it was something different but after I got it I was happy I did it. This will be as much a help as the foot I thought I was ordering. Have not actually put it to use yet but sure it will work.

"Watch The Video/Read The Directions" 2010-04-28

I bought this for my wife to speed up making quilts. All I can say is read the directions and watch the video. It works exactly as advertised. I have no sewing expertise, and I can use it. Don't expect it to work right out of the box. It requires adjustment for the material you are cutting. The directions and video show you, step by step, how to do it. This is a great time saving product if you take the time to learn how to use it. And they say men won't ask for directions.

 "Great strip cutter" 2010-03-01
By Macc (MA)
Looking for a way to strip-cut fabric w/o making my arthritis scream. Purchased a Simplicity Rotary Cutting Machine;had a few problems at the beginning. My husband tried it out and easily went through over 150 strips from fat quarters. Instead of just starting using it, he went through the directions, set it for size we wanted and started out testing it. I just kept fabric at the ready and he kept cutting. Next day, another 100 strips. If he cld do this, I was determined; he showed me how and we like it very much. I agree, if u have a problem read the directions and try again.

 "waste of money" 2010-02-08

I have severe joint pain, and trying to bend over a cutting mat and push down on a rotary blade while holding a ruler and keeping it straight is...well lets just say I can't do it for more than a half hour before I give up from the pain...I had hoped that this machine could save me from that pain. unfortunately...here is my review...

I read the reviews for this machine and thought that maybe the short cord, or awkward screws were the only things wrong...I told myself that maybe these people that had written about it were just complaining about minor things...things I would be willing to put up with. They weren't.

Technically the machine cuts. It clicks and strains and it takes forever to cut a strip, but it does cut. It is nearly impossible to get it to cut a straight strip. There is nothing to grab the cloth and pull it through the machine, so instead of using it like a sewing machine and keeping everything going straight, I found myself having to work just to get the machine to move the cloth through. This made it impossible to keep it straight. It jammed a few times and it ended up causing just about the same amount of strain on my back. Technically I could have gotten about 3 times as many strips cut in the same amount of time too.

I love quilting...LOVE it...but my pain limits me. I wish that this machine had worked, but I guess I have learned my lesson. WHEN ALMOST EVERYONE RATES IT AS CRAP...IT MUST BE CRAP!

I'VE BEEN SEWING FOR OVER 60 YEARS. I HAVE ALWAYS CUT STRIPPING BY HAND. WITH THE ROTARY CUTTER I SAVE TIME FOR OTHER THINGS. I ALSO HAVE THE BIAS TAPE MAKER. I MAKE QUILTS AND THE BINDING LOOKS SO MUCH NICER NOW. FAYE MCGHEE, TN.
