This replacement vacuum hose is absolute garbage. I installed it on my Dyson and within 10 minutes it fell apart. What a waste of time. Do not buy this product.

I purchased this for my Dyson DC07 Full Kit (turquoise and purple) that I purchased at Costco hoping to save a little money over the factory part. Unfortunately, this part didn't fit. The hose was a little too snug so it wouldn't fit over the metal wand.

I was hoping that this hose would last longer than the Dyson original manufacturer part. I get at least 7-8 months out of the Dyson hose before it starts to tear at the top end. This hose did not make it two months before tearing at the top.



This hose material is thinner than the original part. It is also not made as well with cheaper attachment parts. If you do not use the floor attachment much and just use the vacuum by itself than this piece could work. I use the floor piece every time, so this is not an option for myself.



You can buy the original hose from Dyson directly for $39.99. It ends up being cheaper because it lasts longer.

I have 3 dogs - 2 of them are Aussies- and 2 kids who don't care what they track into the house. I vacuum just about every day. I love my Dyson and was really upset when the webbing on the hose pulled away from the rings and tore open. I considered buying a new Dyson (my husband was not please about that). I ordered this with a bit of trepidation considering some of the bad reviews of this hose, but after it arrived and I installed it, I'm satisfied. The biggest issue I had is that the hose is a little too tight, Sliding it onto the metal wand was a chore -- but after spraying the wand liberally with silicone spray lubricant, it went on just fine. It's still a bit more difficult to slide on and off than the factory hose, but better too tight than too loose.

The webbing seems similar to the factory hose -- and I was surprised by the weight of the hose assembly. It's quite heavy for it's size, very much like the original one.



So far I can't talk about it's longevity, but judging by the construction, I don't forsee any problems.

I read the other people's reviews, the complaints about the size of the tube, the loose plastic clip, etc... and I thought, "It can't be that bad. Plus it's almost 50 dollars less than the Dyson hose, so it has to be worth it."

Well, I was wrong. And the others were right. I had to fight just to get the wand to slide down the tube. Then I had to force the handle clip down to lock in place. Now it is on the vacuum, but I am hesitant to try and use the hand attachment because I don't want to have to fight to put it back together.

My advice is: don't look at spending 50 dollars more with Dyson as a waste - look at it as a guarantee that you will get a hose that fits properly. Don't buy this one.

This hose is a good price compared to the Dyson replacement, it fit pretty well for me and worked great at first, but about 6 months after I got it, the yellow tab broke which holds the power cord (it's thinner plastic than the original), and shortly after that the hose came detached and the end is stuck up in the wand handle. It's still usable but very annoying as I have to carefully hold the hose when I use it (and the power cord can't be nicely wrapped anymore).
