First of all,if you buy the Microfiber Replacement Mop Pads.I recommend you buy them from Better Home Direct.I received my pads promptly and with no problems.The pads work just as well as the ones that came with my Shark Steam Mop.And are a lot cheaper than buying them from Shark.The carpet glide works well enough for my needs.But if your carpet is extremity dirty it may not work as well.To clean your pads just throw them into a washing machine along with soap and some bleach.

I really have not used the carpet attachment yet but the frame doesn't stay on the mop head. Yes, i will be ordering the six pack of pads soon so i will have enough to clean all my floors. These replacement pads fit the Shark mop perfectly, and the carpet cleaning glide/tray that is included is very helpful. It does not snap on though, so it will fall off and slip occasionally on carpet. It beats going out and buying/renting a steamer though!

There's no sweet smell to this product. The smell is actually neutral. Simple and easy like most other shampoos. Works well. I use it in an Extractor which heats the water to 210 degrees Fahrenheit and it does not excessively foam up in the tank. I'll buy this one again.

Several months ago, after an all-afternoon tussle with a door-to-door Kirby salesman, I managed to avoid buying a complete and new vacuum system, and instead bought from him a used previous generation Kirby to use only for carpet shampooing. I've been pleased with the vac, and I've also found that Kirby's Allergen shampoo is great stuff!



We have cats. One of them is old and has a hard time finding her litter box. She prefers a short section of carpeted hallway - for convenience, I guess, but for us, it stinks. Murdering her (aka "putting her down") just isn't an option. Love gets in the way.



This shampoo is great at all carpet cleaning, and to our relief, it's also excellent at removing urine smell. That effect is only good until she decides to use the carpet again, but my shampooer is all set up and ready for action, and every time we've had a nose-full, or we have friends on their way here, I just pour in water with Kirby's shampoo, clean away, and the problem is solved.



A gallon, by the way, gives a LOT of shampoo sessions, and the scent is pleasant, almost undetectable, and quickly dissipates.

I mostly use the carpet rake to comb the fringe on area rugs but have also picked up the pile on lower profile rugs. It didn't come with the pole but find one at the hardware store for just a few bucks. Hadn't realize how much I missed it until my first one (at least 10 years old) somehow came undone (grandkids loved playing with it). This is actually the replacement. I had my carpet replaced about a year ago. My fiance and I chose a nice white, really tall and thick carpet. This was our first house and knew nothing about choosing carpet. We implemented a 'no shoes' policy, but after a while, our carpet seemed to get impacted and condensed, with all the fibers laying down on its side and getting matted together. This happened in the high-traffic areas. It made the carpet look worn, old and ugly. Vacuuming did not help. I thought this carpet rake would do the trick. It DID!! It works so great and so wonderful. It really pulls all the fibers to the upright position and makes the carpet look like it was just installed. It's great to do before vacuuming because it loosens all the carpet fibers and allows the suction to really get into the carpet, leaving a cleaner carpet. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for carpet maintenance tools.



The others reviews that say it doesn't work: Ignore them. Only a small child couldn't get this to work. You will have to buy a wooden rod (look at the picture. the wooden handle does not come with the product) from a home-improvement store to act as the handle. I bought mine for under seven bucks. You will have to insert the handle into the rake and screw in a metal screw to hold it in place. It comes with one screw, but I used a second one for stability.



I do recommend buying two: the bristles are made out of straight plastic. While mine has not worn out yet or lost it's rigidity (had it for a few months), it looks cheap and non-durable. I don't know how long it will last for. But hey, for under five bucks, can you really ask for more?

I was pleasantly surprised by this product. I sprinkled it on, rubbed it in with a dry sponge mop (I don't have the Dyson that has the attachment for it), waited 30 minutes and when I vacuumed it up, the carpet really did look much better, and the house smelled clean. The odor is strong when you first sprinkle it on the carpet, but once vacuumed up leaves a very pleasant, light scent.



Easy to use, and short of getting Stanley Steamer, does a nice job. I will be buying it again.

I spent hour upon hours searching for the best steamvac in my price range. This one is a little spendy but definitely worth the price. It was able to remove plenty of filth from my carpets after I had just shampooed them with an average shampooer. My entire house is carpeted so I haven't been able to test its performance on other surfaces but Im sure it works wonders. My only two complaints are that the buckets due tend to leak a little (very little) and the hand tool is a little bulky which was only an issue when trying to shampoo small crevices in my vehicle. Great product that will last for years!

The Hoover SteamVac F7452900 does an absolutely great job. Not only does it do a great job at cleaning carpets in the home, but it did a tremendous job of cleaning the carpets in our cars. A bonus is it does a tremendous job on upholstery. Previously I would rent a cleaner from our local grocery store. Big difference. The Hoover leaves the carpet much dryer. After three or four hours, the carpet is dry vs. the grocery store model which would take 24 hours to dry. An added bonus is that the Hoover SteamVac automatically mixes the proper amount of detergent with water...NO pre mixing and measuring. I have NOT tried it on our tile flors. The All-Terrain feature also works on bare floors. I do not see an advantage with the Hoover vs. a conventional mop and bucket.

(I wanted to give this about a 3.75 rating, but couldn't.) This machine never worked from the beginning. The soap dispensed, the clean water didn't. It has great suction and cleans wellwhen I added water manually. When I took it in for warranty repair, I was told that a part was completely missing and the repair would take 4 weeks and cost 19.00. Really? For a warranty repair that was completely covered? When I emailed Hoover directly, I got an answer about how to make sure the machine was working and where to take it for warranty. I love the concept, just need to make a more reliable machine and warranty. I think when I get it back, I will love using it.
