But you know life, sometimes we just accept things so I did not write to tell you before this. I just put the coat in and accepted that it was just a plastic bag. cheap version of the space bags. they don't hold the vacume and after repeated tries to seal/reseal the bags the zip lock gets soft and will not hold. pay the extra and get the real space bags.

If you've got $$ to gamble with and need to compress some bulky bedding or winter coats for storage, these bags may just fit the bill. Notice that there are many 'maybes' in the previous sentence.



I went cheap and got what I paid for, though I was not surprised due to the other reviews. Again, I tossed the dice and hoped I'd come out better than others who had problems and the gamble didn't pay off.



2 bags come in this pack and true to my history of laying down a bet, I only lost half my money. One bag worked and the other just wouldn't hold an airtight seal. This is after I spent at least 10 minutes CAREFULLY removing the bags from their packaging as I had been warned by the other reviews that there was a good chance I'd put a hole in the bags via the stiff, pointy corners of the box they came in.



While I got them out hole-free, I did have a heck of a time with the part you attach the vac wand to, and on one bag it just plain fell off. While I did get it back on enough to suck the air out of the bag, the seal didn't hold and the bag reinflated itself in short order. Miraculously, the other seal held - a fluke I'm sure.



As these bags are for inside storage, it was not the end of the world, but I would not feel safe using these for basement or garage storage as I'm sure with a loose seal, dirt and moisture would be able to get in.

The bags are not very sturdy and get holes easily. I have a very small apartment and limited storage so I thought these were a great find. I bought medium, large and extra large sizes. One bag ripped while I was putting a blanket in it, right up by the "zipper". Frustrating, but I assumed I had been careless and was more careful with the others. In the next one I put the blanket and in a medium, sweaters. After vacuuming out all the air one was stored in a plastic tote, the other on top of a shelf in a storage room. Both leaked air and had gone back to full size within a day or two so they must have gotten holes while I was putting things in them. I do not have long nails, I was careful and I know there was nothing in the storage areas to have done this, because I checked. These were a waste of money.

I purchased these bags a few weeks ago to put sleeping bags and extra bedding away. I tried to deflate them today after I filled them, but they did not stay deflated and filled back up immediately - both of them. We played with the valves a few times but they still would not stay deflated. I'm not happy, I'll still use them to store the bags, but, obviously they will not go into a smaller spot.

I had been using a foam piece for felting until I bought this brush pad. I could kick myself for not trying it sooner. So firm!

Made felting so much quicker and easier without damaging the needles. Placed a flannel cloth on it, and it is wonderful!

I really like this mat and the Clover multi-needle felting tool together. I like that the bristles are stiff and allow you to felt a larger flat area for incorporation into other projects, and that the project doesn't get stuck to this mat like it might when you felt on a piece of foam. But if it were 2" wider and 2" longer, it would be perfect. However, with the current compact size, it IS very easy to store with my other supplies.

While this felting mat works just fine with the Clover felting tool, it really is unnecessary. An equally thick felting foam pad works just as well, if not better. Flat felt tends to stick to the bristles and get kind of messy, which might make roving felt faster in the first place but will mess it up as it felts, too. Also, it's pretty worthless if you switch to using a single felting needle, and it doesn't work as well with thin layers of roving which sometimes work their way down the bristles before they get a chance to really felt.



This Clover mat does have three advantages over a foam pad: 1)It has a hard plastic back that lets you use it on a pillow in your lap (whereas a foam pad should be used over a hard surface lest you poke yourself), 2)It is well-made and more durable than a foam pad, and 3)It will hold things in place, and so it works better when needle felting onto a felt ball or such.

I have owned many, many space bags over the years and thought this would be a great idea. I bought it for my sister-in-law while visiting her. It was either already was torn or very weak and broke as soon as I tried to put an item in it. It never even saw a vacuum. She lives across the country so I would have had to take up space and pack it in my suit case and then spend time waiting in line only pay $10 to mail back a $20 item. This item was not up to par and not as strong as the 12 piece set I got for the same price at a membership club store. Nice idea, poor product control.

I normally am a huge fan of Space Bags. We have limited storage space and lots of big bedding items, and Space Bags typically make life much easier for me. This one, however, did not work at all. It was hard to pack items into due to the shape and size of the outer storage bag, and every time I tried to seal it (well within its limits, I know not to over-stuff) it snapped right back open. Even worse, the items I packed in it now have a very peculiar odor, almost like rancid oil. They were freshly laundered going in, and I used the bag within two days of getting it in the mail. I'm very disappointed.

This was the first Space Bag we've bought. From reading reviews about other vacuum bags, my spouse thought it might not seal, but it worked without any problems. She especally liked the fact that it's encased in canvas fabric with a zipper and handles, so it will work even if the airtight seal breaks (which it hasn't).

The Space Bag Under-the-bed storage tote has been good for my uses so far. I had wanted to try a space bag out for a while and when I did get it it performed pretty well. Keep in mind that the same technology that seals the seams in this or other space bags is the same that seals pizzas like Frechetta or DiGornio. With enough pressure on the seams this plastic bag will tear just like pulling apart the tabs to split the pizza wrapping. So be sure to use this bag for something that can actually be compressed withing reason. This includes most fluffy things like Comforters and stuffed animals followed by poofy down coats and sweaters. These are not miracle bags where it shifts already close knit items to it's tightly packed compression at the atomic level. We still leave this in the realm of science fiction. However if can shift the air from in between your items that have a lot of give to them like the poofy fluffy examples above. The poofier it is the higher you can fill it but the stiffer it is the less as the contrary. You can find other items that can do a similar job for a lower price but for the job it does and with correct use it receives 4 stars.
