I have gone thru two of these and now have an expensive piece of junk that does not run. Beware! The batteries fail and the machine itself has problems with regular use. I am very disappointed.

This is my 2nd roomba. I decided to buy this version instead of the past one I had ($350). I did not require the "room blockers" or infared device. This works great for pets, I run this 5x a week for my 1000+ sq foot apartment and it picks up the sand, small hair, etc.

Just keep filter clean and check the under belt for any strings that might jam.

Good product for the price.

We have owned 3 Roombas. They have each worked for a short time, but then the trouble begins. Batteries last less than a year and are expensive to replace. There is a lot of maintenance required in cleaning the brushes and removing hair from all of the moving parts. This model won't go over a rug or carpeting. Stops sporadically for no apparent reason.



Roombas are better than the Scooba, but don't waste money on any IRobot product. Their products are good conceptually but the engineering is faulty.

The battery in this product has only a minimal life before it goes bad and is not capable of running the roomba. Be prepaired to spend $40+ every 3 months for a new battery if you use the roomba once a week. Also the battery seems too self discharge over the course of a week so the roomba is usually not even ready to go when you plan to use it. I have owned two roombas(second one was a gift) and 4 batteries and my experience has been the same with each one.

I like to have back ups of replacement products on hand. This way, when you need to replace the Silver Stick, you don't have to worry about ordering it and waiting for the arrival. It does what it is supposed to do in the AIR-O-SWISS unit I have. Not sure if it works in anything else, though.

This was the first time I placed an order with Grady's Online. Grady's split my order into two orders. I received the first order for the demineralization cartridge without a problem. The second order for the replacement Ionic Silver Stick was a different story. The order for both items was place online on April 11th. After waiting quite a while I finally received the second order, on April 22nd, but they sent me the wrong item. When I called, on April 22nd, they said they would send out the correct item and a shipping label to mail back the wrong item. On May 1st I called Grady's again to inquire about where my second shipment was. Grady's finally shipped the second item on May 4th, almost a month after placing the order. The prepaid shipping label was not included as promised. A few days later Grady's sent an apology letter along with the shipping label. Even though their price was good I wouldn't order from them again.

I have an Air-o-Swiss humidifier that came with one of these, but I don't think I'll replace it because it's ridiculously expensive.



Both silver and copper have antimicrobial properties, so I know it does some good, but I think I'll try to clean it or replace it with maybe a dozen clean pennies before I shell out $30.
