Does it make noise? Yes. It's a vacuum cleaner, so what would one expect? It cleans well and doesn't heat up quickly. It is easy to empty. Also, it has an attachment for cleaning corners, windowsills, and etc. I even use it to clean the kitchen, which has wooden flooring. I would recommend this for apartments, where there isn't much to vacuum. Honestly, people tend not to have "common sense." If a person's house is 3000 square feet, he/she shouldn't get this. It's small but gets the job done for a small place.

I bought this with the idea of quick touch-ups in the kitchen (crumbs, pet hair etc.) between regular vacuuming

A waste of money. Dirt devil should be ashamed to even market this sweeper.



Has very little suction at first it seemed to work a little, but you had to go very slow and repeatedly go over the same area several times...to pick up even the lightest crumbs and dirt.



But after a few days, it wouldn't even do that much. It would suck up a little dirt but didnt even have enough vacuum to make it to the cannister and all the dirt would fall out again when you turned the sweeper off.

I kept emptying the cannister even though it has little in it hoping that it would help but to no avail.



Save your money and invest in something better.

I bought this a week ago and am very pleased. It picked up dust and debris from the baseboard area of the carpet and easily picked up dirt the kids tracked in. Cleaning the stairs was very easy given how light the vacuum is. It moves from carpeted areas to hardwoods with no difficulty.



On the downside, some of the components, such as the cord holder, seem flimsy. Also, the handle tends to twist slightly. These could be bigger problems later.

Our Golden Retriever, Murray, leaves clumps of "furry Murray" hair all over the house. My floors are entirely hardwood and tile and my huge upright vacuum is a pain in the tush to haul out daily. I was so hoping this would be 'the one', portable, light weight, taking up little storage space. Mine (new) arrived in a box with the parts not secured within the box and obviously parts were missing. The seller tried to charge me to return the product even though I did not receive the entire product. Because of that fact, I was unwilling to try to purchase again. Amazon helped with resolution to see that I was refunded, but it should not have come to that. What parts were there, I can only comment that the handle seemed very light weight (like hollow aluminum).

I have purchased this stick vacuum cleaner before. I love this vacuum because it is small, thin and it's convenient to put in the corner of my closet. I live in a small condo and I don't have the room for a regular size vacuum cleaner. The down side to this product is that it will last for about a year and then you have to buy another one. The black cord that covers the wiring causes a short when it starts to unravel from daily use and you can't use the vacuum cleaner.

As other reviewers said, this looks like a cheap little toy when it comes out of its box. BUT, it weighs almost nothing, it costs about $10 less than a Swiffer, it picks up dirt and other stuff my Swiffer won't, and it doesn't need pads constantly replaced. It even picks bits and pieces off my wall-to-wall carpet. This is the best purchase I've made in ages. The only negative is that it won't stand upright by itself or against a wall. That's a tiny drawback compared to its price and cleaning ability.

My thirty year old portable sucker burned out its brushes and started screaming. My wife hated that hands and knees vacuuming method anyway, and BAGS? Fugedaboudit! So we looked for something that would clean our rugs and its contents could be neatly dumped into the trash. Oh yeah, and we wanted to do our vacuuming standing up. This thing is strong and light. It has a long cord that winds up neatly on the two opposing hooks under the comfortable handle And best of all... It is light so we don't fatigue when working with it.

The red Dirt Devil Power stick is easy to hang in a broom closet taking up very little space. It is great if you live in a small apartment, but it is super powerful and sucks up all the grit that gets in my big wool area rugs. My rugs look great after a session with the Dirt Devil.

I was looking for affordable, light weighed and powerful vacuum cleaner for my apartment. I have no pets, primarily wood floor and tiles, several rugs. My apartment is typically very clean and not overloaded with "stuff". In the past, I had Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner for several years (upright model) and was satisfied with durability and quality of cleaning. So, naturally, after some online research, I decided to get Dirt Devil Power Stick - M084100, even though the overall rating was not impressive.

Assembling the product did not take much time for me and instructions were reasonable while not perfect. I turned the power button on and vacuum cleaner jumped. It was first unpleasant surprise. I navigated it to the area with visible dust and before I could vacuum it, the dust flew in the air to my complete surprise. Well, it turned out, the air coming from the bottom of vacuum cleaner approached the dust before the vacuuming happens. Few minutes later I was sneezing and my eyes were getting irritated. I can only imagine what happen in apartments (houses) with animals.

The vacuum cleaner did not work well on the rugs either. After 10 minutes of cleaning I simply gave up because the dust in the air started really bothering and I could not stop sneezing.

And that was the end of my experiment with this product. I returned it to the store next day.

I've had my Dirt Devil Power Stick for two months now. The motor has enough power to suck like crazy but the vacuum's design leaves this an impotent appliance. With the handle positioned high the suction is diminished due to poor design inside the vacuum head's knuckle. I'm tall so this is a problem. The front of the vacuum head is really designed to suck best in the very middle making it hard to reach close to walls or corners. Consequently it does not cover much area. And larger particles stay in the head. When you turn the vacuum off they will be redeposited back onto the floor. My Dirt Devil will make it's last trip today.....to the dumpster.

I bought this with a gift card I received for my birthday. I said I was going to splurge and buy something just for me that I really didn't need and wouldn't normally spend on myself. So, what do I buy? A vacuum cleaner!! Anyway, it's a pretty good vacuum. Nice and lightweight for quick jobs on floors. Not the most powerful for carpets, but it's not really designed for that. It's just as quick as, or even quicker than a broom and you don't have to pick up the debris afterward. Emptying the debris cylinder is very easy. However, be warned that it's a little loud. Over all I like it and would recommend it.

This was the first time I placed an order with Grady's Online. Grady's split my order into two orders. I received the first order for the demineralization cartridge without a problem. The second order for the replacement Ionic Silver Stick was a different story. The order for both items was place online on April 11th. After waiting quite a while I finally received the second order, on April 22nd, but they sent me the wrong item. When I called, on April 22nd, they said they would send out the correct item and a shipping label to mail back the wrong item. On May 1st I called Grady's again to inquire about where my second shipment was. Grady's finally shipped the second item on May 4th, almost a month after placing the order. The prepaid shipping label was not included as promised. A few days later Grady's sent an apology letter along with the shipping label. Even though their price was good I wouldn't order from them again.

I have an Air-o-Swiss humidifier that came with one of these, but I don't think I'll replace it because it's ridiculously expensive.



Both silver and copper have antimicrobial properties, so I know it does some good, but I think I'll try to clean it or replace it with maybe a dozen clean pennies before I shell out $30.
