Just got this to keep from having to lug the 1-ton Dyson up the stairs. I am a little disappointed with it in that, besides its being heavy, it has so much suction, it's hard to do the job. Plus - and this has been reported by others - it's loud! But it does a great job and again is easier to manage than an upright. I would buy it again only because I know of no other effective solution to the dreaded stair vacuuming chore.

I had one of these Dirt Devils for many years until one of the kids blew up the motor somehow - I think a chunk of something got vacuumed into it. Anyway, after buying a couple of other brands because I couldn't find what I wanted, I was really happy to see the new and improved hand-vac, at a decent price too. It still feels as heavy (good motor!) but the plastic housing looks cheap, and there's no little brush attachment for the hose, only an edge cleaner. The hose is too short to do much with it: awkward for a simple job like the stairs or doing high corners of windows, etc. There is a little loop fastener to keep the cord attached to the body of it, which is convenient. All in all I think I am happy with it, the main roller brush is better than the other brands, and that is what I wreally wanted, and I am able to use attachments from my main vacuum cleaner.

Loved this little vacuum. It really picks up the dog hair on my stairs and so far I have had no problems at all with it.
I would purchase this again.
