When I received this filter, I put it in my machine and it fit perfectly. This is 100x less expensive than Wal-mart and the original Hoover filter. I picked up this little guy at Target for $20 for the sole purpose of cleaning my bathroom floors. It's small head easily gets around the toilet and under the vanities. This is NOT a vacuum for rugs, but it works great on bare floors picking up hair, lint, dust, etc. I liked it so much, I just bought another one for my downstairs. I love the hand held feature, combined with it's crevace tool. It is just great for getting at cobwebs behind fixtures. Again, this is not to be confused with a full sized, power brush vacuum for carpeting. But for small jobs on bare floors it is exactly right.

Wow! I'm a little shocked at the bad reviews! I bought this on black friday for $[...] and I LOVE it! I had previously used a swiffer sweep & vac (the battery died and it didn't clean up bigger messes) and then I bought the shark stick vac (one of my kids knocked it over and cracked it). So I purchased this as a third stick vac. I love it. It is very powerful, I don't understand these people saying it doesn't pick up messes. It totally picks up messes big and small!!! We remodeled our kitchen and I used it to vaccumm little sheetrock particles as well as the every day messes my 4, 5 year old kids & 3 year old lab leave behind. I have had some issues finding a new filter at walmart and target but I suspect I will find one easily online. Overall I LOVE this vac. I use it only for my tile areas and yes maybe you do have to empty it semi-often (but I have forgotten about it alot and never had a problem)it works great for cleaning up after my 2 kids and dog.

Of course, it won't clean big messes. However, it can't clean small messes either.

I recently moved into a 600 sq ft apartment, and while installing furniture

spilled a decent amount of sawdust on the carpet. Unfortunately, I could

take out at most 50% of the dust from the carpets with this vacuum cleaner.

The problem I guess is the very small vent it has at the bottom.



Pro: Compact and easy to store in my small apartment. It might be more

suitable for hardwood floors, but I would recommend spending $20 more

and getting a larger and more powerful one, if you have the space to store it.

This little vacuum blows all of the fine dust that it has vacuumed in straight out through the cooling/exhaust vents. I tried it once. The more I vacuumed the thicker the air got with dust as it came out the vents. The motor started to get a burning smell within a couple of minutes of use & the suction power is very weak. Not really good for much of anything. I gave it oe star for having a working on/off switch, and an extra long heavy duty cord. I'm returning it tomorrow!

So far I love the Rowenta DG8030 Expert Steam Generator iron (only had it three weeks). The iron heats quickly and offers wonderful, powerful steam! It fits into the slot of the Rowenta ironing board perfectly, so it is secure, the cord is not obtrusive, and I have lots of ironing board space. I don't iron a lot, but when I iron I want great heat control and lots of steam and this iron offers just that. The water tank is reasonably adequate and easy to refill; you don't have to wait and release pressure in order to refill the tank as I have had to do with some serious irons (although you do have to refill a bit more often). An earlier reviewer noted that the new plastic (?) steam button sticks occasionally and it does--but not often and it is easy to release. My only concern is the longevity: my other Rowenta models were not long-lived (usually died within two years--after the warranty expired.



Several months ago I purchased a recommended cordless Panasonic steam iron and was seriously disappointed. When I iron, it is usually cotton or wool and the Panasonic did not have the heat or the steam to meet the challenge and I had to keep putting the iron back on it's base for reheating--took too long to reheat.

I do a lot of ironing with my custom window treatment business. I have been through many irons and have finally found one that works great in the steam department and that is the Rowenta DG5030; but not necessarily in the design department. It was tedious to fill the 33oz. reservoir and it doesn't show the water level. Until the DG8030 came out! Yes! the design I've been waiting for! So easy to fill and can see the water level. I would give this iron five stars except the steam "blast" doesn't seem to be quite as strong and last quite as long as the DG5030's. Perhaps it will come with more use - for each individual iron seems to have its own personality. Rowenta - if you could combine the steam pressure and duration of the 5030 with the view and fill-ease water tank of the 8030, add maybe an 8 ft. cord and you would have one spectacular iron. THEN the 8030 would be worth double the price of the 5030!

With the long hose I could reach most everywhere in my garage. Lots of attachments. Great for cleaning the interior of cars and little things. Here is my problem with this thing:



Little wood chips/dust on the garage floor from woodworking clogs up the long hose. Hose diameter is too small for most anything from my shop. Suction to low and will not even pick up small nails.



I just remove the popcorn ceiling in the house and this will not pick up small bits of leftover popcorn bits without clogging up the hose. Ok on to sanding the drywall - the fine drywall powder will clog up the little pre-filter and filter in no time. The problem is the hose is too small in diameter, not enough suction and filter clogs up to quickly to do any half serious jobs. Ended up using my shop vac and the wife's canister vacuum cleaner to finish the job.



What a pain, every two minutes of vacuuming requires one minute of clearing the hose or cleaning the pre-filter and/or filter. Not for real work, had to manually push broom clean before I could use this thing to such up the remaining the dust and that even clogs the filter within a few minutes! This thing does look cool in the garage.

Like all other purchases I agonized over which product to buy for months. A friend has the Hoover GUV and I liked it enough. My final decision was based on the fact I live in WI. My garage gets snow and ice over the winter. I had concerns the metal Hoover would eventually rust in my garage that remains damp for 5 months of the year.

I also liked the fact that you had the option to wet/dry vac. Even thought I don't plan on cleaning out my fish tank with the thing, I do vacuum wet floor mats and enough damp items that I liked the option being present.

I have owned the vac for about 8 months now. Still happy with my decision.

THIS IS NOT A HIGH POWERED SHOP VAC. It does great on cleaning out the car and sucking up general dirt in the garage, but... you will not be picking up a pile of leaves with it.

It is pleasingly quiet. If I could alter the "muffler" system for more power I would. It does have two screws on the muffler, but removing them does not allow the side discharge to easily be removed, and I don't want to break anything. I don't see why the gov needs to impose sound restrictions for my safety. I vacuum in the driveway, not with my head next to the vacuum...

The long hose goes everywhere I want to go. Suction is good, but not a 6HP shop vac with at 4" hose that is only 6 feet long. There is a trade off for space management.

In the end, its worth it for me to have this. I don't want to lug my shop vac up from the basement every time I want to clean out the car. I don't want a shop vac waisting space in my garage- so this fits the bill.

I would have given it a 5 star review; but can't based on the fact it doesn't suck up leaves that blow into my garage. The quality of construction seems to be good. Cleaning it out and the built in filter was easy enough, though a dirty job. The cloth filter gets pretty messy when you pull it out.

Would purchase again. If space is not an issue for you, consider a monster shop vacuum and be ready to pull it all over; If space is a concern and you like a tidy car and just want to pull down a hose and go- this is your vacuum.

I bought this as a gift for my husband. When he opened it up it wasn't all there. The wands for the attachements were missing and the only attachements in it were the large floor attachements. None of the car care or upholstery attachments were there. We called Bissell as the box says and they told us that as far as they are concerned it was all there when it left the factory and it wasn't their problem to contact Amazon. The box was still factory sealed!! All Amazon did was put a shipping label on it. We told them that and they still said that as far as they were concerned it wasn't their problem. I ordered this with a bit of trepidation considering some of the bad reviews of this hose, but after it arrived and I installed it, I'm satisfied. The biggest issue I had is that the hose is a little too tight, Sliding it onto the metal wand was a chore -- but after spraying the wand liberally with silicone spray lubricant, it went on just fine. It's still a bit more difficult to slide on and off than the factory hose, but better too tight than too loose.

The webbing seems similar to the factory hose -- and I was surprised by the weight of the hose assembly. It's quite heavy for it's size, very much like the original one.



So far I can't talk about it's longevity, but judging by the construction, I don't forsee any problems.

I read the other people's reviews, the complaints about the size of the tube, the loose plastic clip, etc... and I thought, "It can't be that bad. Plus it's almost 50 dollars less than the Dyson hose, so it has to be worth it."

Well, I was wrong. And the others were right. I had to fight just to get the wand to slide down the tube. Then I had to force the handle clip down to lock in place. Now it is on the vacuum, but I am hesitant to try and use the hand attachment because I don't want to have to fight to put it back together.

My advice is: don't look at spending 50 dollars more with Dyson as a waste - look at it as a guarantee that you will get a hose that fits properly. Don't buy this one.

This hose is a good price compared to the Dyson replacement, it fit pretty well for me and worked great at first, but about 6 months after I got it, the yellow tab broke which holds the power cord (it's thinner plastic than the original), and shortly after that the hose came detached and the end is stuck up in the wand handle. It's still usable but very annoying as I have to carefully hold the hose when I use it (and the power cord can't be nicely wrapped anymore).
