I was actually looking to use this for a coffee mug, but it's a bit too small for the amount I drink. But having used it as it's intended purpose..I love it! It kept the tea hot for quite some time with the lid on. I actually took off the lid to let the heat reduce a bit ..about 40 mins and the tea still maintained a good amount of heat. Not scolding hot, but hot enough to enjoy without having to cool it down by blowing on the tea.

I bought this tea mug because of the great reviews and because I thought that stainless steel would be much safer in contact with boiling hot water than plastic tea travel mugs. I was very disappointed when I received the item to learn that the stainless steel mug is lined with a nonstick coating and that the tea basket is made of polyproylene. I certainly don't want boiling hot water touching plastic or a chemical coating! I had to return the mug.

Yet again, Zojirushi has impressed me with an extremely durable piece of equipment that perfectly accomplishes everything for which it was designed. I am in love with this company. Everything I've bought from them is fantastic. I use this container daily at work, and I can't imagine that I will ever get tired of it. It makes the steeping process completely painless, even preventing spillage by way of a clever steeper-holding cap design which is detailed very nicely in the manual. Personally, I've never found any use for the cap's ability to contain dried product. I like that it's there in case of an emergency, but I've never had to go beyond my morning restock of the wonderfully secure and obviously well-crafted mesh/plastic basket. The lid is secure; the thing is insulated perfectly; it could probably withstand a toss from the Taipei 101. I'd give it six stars if I could.

I've had lots of french presses, but this one is just great, having broken the glass container on my last one (again!) it was time for me to look for a new one, and how great is it!



All metal container and thermal on top of it!

The mesh looks like the standard Bodums, and the lid contains a plastic lip that can close the pouring orifice to keep the heat in (by twisting the cover till the arrow points to the exit)!

Ok the thermal part doesn't last forever, but personally if I don't drink it within 2 hours I make a new pot anyway.. freshness, that's why I got a French Press in the first place anyway!



I drink in those big cups of coffee at home, this size fits about 1 1/2 of the big (double-cups)style mugs, Perfect!



My best one yet! Love it!

This little thing makes a delightful morning brew. Be aware, however, the "4 cup name" does not translate to "4 x 8oz (the actual measurement of one cup = 8 oz). So, I get one hefty mug of coffee from it. When serving more than one, it requires multiple brews. Had I known, I would have gotten the larger size. Nevertheless, it is very sleek in design, sturdy, and makes a nice cup of coffee.

This press is great! I just broke my Bodum Chambard, which is glass, after five years of use. I had the 32 oz., which was far larger than necessity dictated. Moreover, glass presses undergo considerable heat loss after four minutes of steeping. This press not only remedies that problem since it is double walled stainless steel, but you couldn't break it if you tried. The coffee tasted great, although I was a bit curious to see if steel would cause it to taste bad. Not in the least! It tasted fine and it keeps the coffee hot, so you are not forced to down a cup of coffee within a couple minutes for fear of tepid coffee. Once you try steel, you'll see the appeal!

Highly recommended. I already owned the 12 oz. pot and loved it. Got this slightly larger pot shipped to my daughter's home -- in the ready for our holiday visit. I quickly made my first pot but noticed an off taste in the coffee. I thought it must be her water as that was the only change from my own home --- beans, grinder, pot all the same. So, I washed everything again and made another pot. Still had the off taste. I could smell whatever was causing the off taste but didn't know what it was. Finally I identified it as coming from the the seal on the filter. So, I made sure the filter remained above the water line while the coffee was brewing. No off taste after that! I have tried it for two days. It keeps boiled water hot. The size of the bottle doesn't look big but it contains a lot of water that definitely enough for using it in the library for 4 to 5 hours of study.



The bottle is stylish: the push button for opening the small lid to pour the water, and the nice handle is another plus.



The only thing I am not quite sure is the material of the interior bottle. I don't know whether is steel with special coating to prevent stains, or just plastic which I hope is not. It is an excellent bottle for keeping the water hot for hours.

I just ordered my third over the past 7 or 8 years. Mine gets daily use. We grind our own coffee in a grind and brew every morning and I wouldn't give that up for anything. When the Zojirushi is new it's everything the copy says. When properly preheated it will keep liquids very hot for hours.



That said, the cap tries hard to be equal to the bottle, but comes up short sometimes. I've learned to fill the bottle, screw the cap on and invert it over the sink just to be sure. For some reason sometimes it doesn't seat properly and leakage occurs. And of course, I'll get complacent about it and will be surprised one day by either a puddle in the car, or a coworker pointing out a "problem" as I walk down the hall and find a capful of delicious coffee leaking out.



Another thing about the cap, a complaint I have about just about every travel mug I've owned (yes, even the Nissan) is the difficulty in really cleaning them. In fact the Nissan is probably the worst. This one's not much better.



Get it for it's overall performance, it's worth it. It's just a little quirky sometimes.

This vacuum has great design and SUPER suction. The cord is nice and long - a big plus. We use it to suck up dirt, ash and wood particles around the hearth of our wood burning stove (obviously NOT hot ash)--- and for the stairway and will also be using it to clean inside our cars. Would give it 5 stars but wish the paper-type filter held a bit more and was washable and permanent (i.e., nylon or metal fine mesh)instead of needing to order filters - although you CAN empty and re-use the filter several times as is and two filters come with the vacuum. We really love it and are very pleased with the purchase. It's a terrific vacuum!

Powerful vac and the back end is a "blower".

The blower part is not as powerful as the blowers

extra filters are not sold on Amazon.



I found both the 3' and 6' flexible hoses and

extra filter bags at AutoGeek (dot) net.



I would recommend this vac to anyone wanting

I received my mug as a Christmas present in 2008 and have used it daily for the entire year. It keeps my coffee comfortably warm for many hours, and that's especially nice when I'm called away from my desk without having a chance to finish my cup. The shape is perfect for easy gripping including the placement of the release button. It never leaks which is a vast improvement over other travel mugs I've used. For the reviewer who mentioned the problem with cleaning the lid. I purchased this mug because the stainless steel one i have from walmart gets water in the seams between the plastic top when you wash it and then leaks when i go to drink. Piece of junk. This mug is engineered perfectly. The bottom is one piece. The lid is easy to wash and fits securely and with only one turn. I've only had it one day and i can tell it will last a long time. My second favorite mug i bought at starbucks and it's made of the thermo plastic stuff. It was good for awhile and then i noticed the o-ring seal doesn't work as well. my coffee also went cold within 2 hours. Same cup all day and didn't notice it get cold till about 3:00 PM. I made the coffee at 8:00 AM. Amazing!

I use it for my morning coffee and let me just say I've had a lot of travel mugs and this one's the best by far! I make coffee at home in the morning so I can have at least one good cup o' joe a day.



It's generally the better part of an hour before I actually crack the seal on said morning cup and when I do I find the coffee to still be too hot to drink (a very good thing!) and it's accompanied by a nice "woosh" indicating an excellent leak-proof seal has been maintained since filling!

Finally, a travel mug for my coffee I can trust not to leak! The cup holders in most cars are just not deep enough to keep things from tipping over when you make a turn, and this tumbler solves that problem completely (unfortunately, after years of carpet cleaning!) You can hold this one upside down and not lose a drop. And, at the end of the day, I can throw it in my brief bag and not worry about the last few drops leaking onto important papers. You do have to take care to clean the lid well as it does have a tight seal, but it's worth the extra effort. I love it, and am giving it many times over for Christmas!

I am a certified klutz. If I can spill something, somehow, I will. I have owned this mug for the last two years and have not ever spilled anything from it. I cannot recommend it highly enough. For me, it has kept things at the right temperature (generally hot things). It is easy to drink from; you don't have to do anything but hold it as you would any mug shaped like this, and your hand goes to the button without any trouble. It fits in my cupholder, it holds 16 ounces of coffee, and, unlike some other reviewers, I have not found it hard to clean. Both pieces go through my dishwasher just fine and come out clean and nice. When I have had to hand wash, I am careful not to overload the lid with soap, as it will hold the odor of the dish soap unless it is extremely well rinsed. It is stylish as well. But the most important thing? It does not spill.
